- Contact information you provide on the chain-of-custody form (name, organization, email, phone, shipping address).
- Sample submission details (compound identity, lot codes, test tier requested).
- Analytical results generated by our instruments from your sample.
- Server logs from website visits (IP address, browser, time of visit, referring page).
2. How we use it
- To perform the requested testing and deliver your report.
- To respond to support inquiries and quality-related disputes.
- To maintain audit-trail records as required by our QMS (SOP-080, 7-year retention).
- To improve our methods and our website.
3. Who we share it with
Charter does not sell, lease, or trade client data. We share information only with:
- Carriers — shipping addresses to UPS, FedEx, USPS for delivery.
- Email service provider — to deliver report PDFs and support communications.
- Auditors and regulators — only when legally required (subpoena, court order, regulatory inspection).
- Service providers — hosting, payment processing — bound by data-protection agreements.
4. Your rights
You may request:
- A copy of the data Charter holds about you.
- Correction of inaccurate information.
- Deletion of your account and contact data (note: analytical records required for our 7-year audit-trail retention cannot be deleted, but contact information can be anonymized).

5. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies — only those required for session state. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
6. Data security
Charter uses industry-standard safeguards (HTTPS, encrypted storage, access controls). In the event of a data breach affecting client data, we will notify affected clients within 72 hours per applicable law.
7. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be announced via email to active clients and noted on this page at least 14 days before taking effect.
